After his arrest by NOPD for having an unpaid speeding ticket in another parish, Oliver Thomas and his wife Jasmine went public.  “We want this to be a teachable moment for all families,” said Jasmine Thomas.  “We just want other families to avoid this and suggest everyone make sure they won’t be put in the same situation!”

But many have said this was a senseless waste of precious police manpower.  And, in the mass incarceration capital of the world, should we even arrest people for traffic violations?  Let us know what you think!
